Washington, DC --- Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a senior member of the Florida Congressional Delegation, offered her congratulations to a company based in her Congressional District that has been selected to receive a Presidential award in recognition of its achievement in supporting export growth in the US business community.

“The Produce Connection” will receive the President’s “E” Award for its participation in increasing US export growth. An “E” Award is the highest honor the federal government can give to a US exporting company. The Department of Commerce will present the award during the upcoming National District Export Council Annual Conference, taking place tomorrow Thursday at the Department of Commerce in Washington, DC.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, “As one of the largest distributors of fresh produce in South Florida, this company is excelling at increasing our exports to the rest of the world. More exports means more jobs in South Florida. I am pleased that the Commerce Department is recognizing the good work of The Produce Connection.”
