Ros-Lehtinen To Hold Military Academy Nomination Ceremony On Thursday, February 18

“I’m proud of all the students who are being nominated to attend our wonderful military academies. Each institution, West Point, Air Force Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, and Naval Academy, represents the pinnacle of service to our nation paired with educational excellence.”

 

Miami, Florida – Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-27) announced that she will hold the Military Academy Nomination Ceremony for her academy nominees on Thursday, February 18 at 5:30pm at her District Office, 4960 SW 72 Avenue, Suite 208 in Miami. Ros-Lehtinen is proud to nominate 18 students to attend West Point, Air Force Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, and Naval Academy and representatives from each of the schools will be present.

 

Ros-Lehtinen’s husband, Dexter, volunteered for service in Vietnam where he served as an Army Ranger and was severely wounded in combat. Her stepson, Doug, and daughter-in-law, Lindsay, served our nation as Marine Aviators in Iraq. Lindsay, a Naval Academy graduate, also served in Afghanistan. They are currently Marine Reservists.
