TOMORROW SATURDAY: Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen to Attend Reception for One of Her Favorite Charities – Hope for Vision

Miami, Florida – Tomorrow, Saturday, September 8, 2012, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) will attend the reception for Hope for Vision’s 17th annual “Party with a Purpose.” One of Ileana’s favorite charities, Hope for Vision was founded to raise funds for scientific research with a single goal in mind: to eradicate blinding diseases and their costs. Since its inception, Hope for Vision has received support from thousands of advocates across the country, and has distributed over 95% of its funds directly to innovative researchers at leading medical institutions nationwide.

Said Ros-Lehtinen: “I have been proud to work with my good friends Carlos and Betty Lidsky, and their son Isaac, at Hope for Vision for many years now. It is one of my favorite charities, and as a founding member and co-chair of the Congressional Vision Caucus, I have worked in Congress to help Hope for Vision achieve its goal of raising awareness about blinding diseases so that we can one day soon eradicate these terrible and costly diseases. I look forward to the reception tomorrow, to seeing my good friends, and to helping Hope for Vision accomplish its mission.”
