TONIGHT IN DC: Ros-Lehtinen To Be Honored By The Lupus Foundation Of America For Her Work In Congress Bringing Attention To Lupus & Its Ravaging Effects

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) will be honored this evening of Tuesday May 8th with the National Policy Leadership Award by the Lupus Foundation of America for her work in the U.S. House to bring attention to Lupus. Other Members of Congress being recognized are William Keating, Jim Moran, and Tom Rooney.

The Lupus Butterfly Gala will honor the members of Congress for their work in establishing the Lupus Caucus and for bringing attention to this incurable disease. This event will take place tonight at 8:00 pm at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, located at 1301 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington DC.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, “I am honored to co chair the Lupus Caucus in the U.S. House because working in a bipartisan manner we can accomplish great goals. I look forward to receiving the award this evening and to be surrounded by others who are working hard to make a positive difference in the fight against Lupus.”
