Miami, Florida – On Monday, August 26 at 10:00am, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) will visit and tour Miami International Airport (MIA) and hold a discussion with airport business owners.

At 11:30am Ileana will be available for press immediately after the visit at MIA’s Consular Lounge. The Consular Lounge is on the second level of the airport at Concourse F.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, “I’m very proud that MIA is located in my new Congressional district. Its new Director, Emilio Gonzalez, is very sensitive to meeting the needs of passengers and businesses and wants to improve every facet of the airport.

MIA is a state of the art airport that in 2011 had 38,314,389 passengers travel through it, making it the 25th busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic. The airport also ranks as the 12th busiest airport in the United States by annual passenger count and is the busiest airport in our State. MIA has also handled more international cargo than any other airport in the U.S.”
