As One Year Anniversary Of Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Approaches, Ros-Lehtinen Urges Affected Keys Businesses Who Haven’t Been Paid For Their Losses To Contact Her Congressional Office

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) is urging businesses in the Florida Keys to contact her Congressional office as soon as possible if they were affected by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and have yet to be paid for their losses.

Ileana and her staff have been working to get payments from the Gulf Coast Claims Facility to those affected businesses, but if any cases are pending they should contact Ros-Lehtinen’s aide in Monroe County Kim Sovia-Crandon at 305-304-7789 OR email the Congresswoman’s Legislative Director, Joshua Salpeter at Joshua.salpeter@mail.house.gov.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, “As we approach the one year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, it would be incomprehensible if any businesses in my Congressional District in the Florida Keys have yet to be paid for their losses. My office has been working to get these affected entities reimbursed and we will continue to aggressively seek restitution for them. That is the just thing to do.”
