TOMORROW SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWM MIAMI: Ros-Lehtinen To Be Keynote Speaker At The 478th Airborne Battalion Ball

Miami, Florida – Tomorrow Saturday June 22nd, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) will serve as the Keynote Speaker at the 478th Airborne Battalion Ball being held at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Miami (100 Chopin Plaza). Ros-Lehtinen will be there at 6:30pm.
The 478th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) is a US Army Reserve (USAR) Battalion headquartered in Perrine, FL.  Comprised of 203 officers and Troopers – roughly 4/5’s of the battalion are designated airborne paratroopers; over the last 11+ years the Troopers have been deployed to support operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, Haiti, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.   The 478th is assigned to provide CA support to operations in Central & South America and the Caribbean.

The 478th Airborne Battalion has engaged in support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and closer to home in the Caribbean and Central and South America.
